A few of my favorite things:
What do you get when you pair all of these together? PopUp Dinner Brooklyn.
Last week, a group of incredible women, who come from all walks of life, got together by our mutual friend, to enjoy the one thing we all have in common: our love for: wine, food and NYC.
Presented by Handmade Events, PopUp Dinner Brooklyn is a flash picnic that brings together thousands of people to enjoy an evening of great food, wine, community and creativity. The unique part about PopUp Dinner is that the secret location is revealed hours before the event.
Unlike other similar events, PopUp Dinner provides the setting, tables, chairs, and entertainment. So what do you do? Gather your gal pals, pick out your chicest white attire, pack your favorite libations and get creative with your table decor. From beautifully decorated multi-tiered cakes, to elaborate flower arrangements, meticulous hats, unique cocktails and themed Pinterest obsessed decor, PopUp Dinner truly brought a unique experience to traditional, wining and dining al fresco.
And can we please talk about creativity? The decor that was brought about from all different tables was pretty impressive. Located at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook, the scenic views of lower Manhattan on a clear blue sky day, took my breath away.
The event brought together 6,000 people dressed in white from head to toe to eat, drink and dance to the views of NYC. There was even a surprise performance by Run-DMC’s Darryl McDaniels.
My favorite part of the evening was of course, Golden Hour. For you non-photography nerds, in photography, the golden hour is a period shortly after sunrise or before sunset during which daylight is redder and softer than when the Sun is higher in the sky. This makes for impeccable lighting, incredible selfies & picture perfect backdrops!
I can't wait for the next one! For more information on PopUp Dinners in your city, visit: Handmade Events.
